Join the McGill Women, Leadership & Philanthropy Group of Toronto for an insightful discussion featuring Toronto's Medical Officer of Health Dr. Eileen de Villa, BSc'91.

Dr. de Villa will speak about her journey from McGill to the top public health job in the city and about the lessons that she has learned along the way.

Participants will be able to ask questions and the Q&A discussion will be moderated by Nasreen Khatri, BA'91, WLP Co-Chair.

In lieu of a ticket price, participants are encouraged to donate when they register to the WLP Toronto Fund. This fund has been established to endow an internship opportunity for a woman to pursue her studies through a work experience opportunity. Please give generously.

Dr. de Villa has been recognized for her many leadership achievements with Faculty Educator awards from the University of Toronto - Public Health and Preventative Medicine Residency Program, the Naimark Award, from the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement, the Distinguished Leader Award from the McGill Toronto Excellence Awards, Communicator of the Year by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC, Toronto Chapter), and most recently "Most Influential Filipina Woman in the World" Award from the Foundation for Filipina Women's Network. In her capacity as Medical Officer of Health, Dr. de Villa has led the public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including the largest immunization campaign in the history of Toronto.
