MAA Ottawa: Alumni Curling Afternoon
Celebrate the new year with the McGill Alumni Association (MAA) of Ottawa and your fellow alumni on the ice! Whether you're a seasoned curler or trying it for the first time, this is the perfect way to connect, laugh, and sweep your way into 2026 with some winter cheer.
No prior experience needed to participate! For those who have little or no curling experience, we will be providing a short introductory clinic for beginners. For those with more experience, you will be curling on another sheet of ice with a volunteer shadowing your sheet to provide the occasional pointer should you be interested.
We will finish up by playing a mini-game, and then reconvene in the lounge for drinks (at your own expense).

The McGill Alumni Association of Ottawa is a dedicated volunteer organization that provides opportunities for alumni engagement through shared interests and supports alumni in staying connected to McGill. If you have your own curling equipment, you're invited to bring it along.
Please bring a clean pair of sneakers to change into. Shoes worn outdoors will not be permitted on the ice. We recommend also wearing loose-fitting pants, warm layered clothing, gloves/mitts and a toque (optional).
Curling brooms, stabilizers and grippers will be loaned to you at no additional charge.
