Professor Victoria Kaspi
Distinguished James McGill Professor
Director, Trottier Space Institute at McGill University
Professor Kaspi is a globally renowned astrophysicist and the first researcher from a Canadian university to receive the prestigious Shaw Prize from Hong Kong.
During this event, she will highlight the groundbreaking research conducted at the Trottier Space Institute, discuss the work that led to her Shaw Prize recognition, and speak to the profound importance of advancing our understanding of the universe to humankind.
Professor Kaspi holds degrees from McGill and Princeton, completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Caltech, and is the recipient of the Albert Einstein World Award of Science. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society (UK), the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, and the American Astronomical Society.
